How long have you been in business?
I've been a Question Document Examiner since late 1987. I only had one case that year. I joined National Questioned Document Association that year and started my education in that field. It took me awhile before I had 5 court cases/2 depositions and 3 court cases before I could qualify to take the Certification test to become a Certified Document Examiner.
What is your primary product or service?
I examine handwriting to see if it has been forged by someone or if it is the authentic handwriting of the person.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I first became aware of handwriting in 1957. My husband applied for a job with Pet Milk after he got out of the Air Force. He fill out an application
and the owner of Career Employment analyzed his handwriting to see if he would make a valuable employee and a good salesman. He studied Graphology, the study of personality in handwriting. When I moved to Colorado in 1985, I studied graphology and Questioned Documents.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Graphology and QD are two different aspects of handwriting. Kind of like Football and Baseball, they are both sports but have different tools and different rules.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Only one location in San Antonio and I do not expect to expand.

I have told " the truth" of the documents. While I listen to the client or attorneys, it's the document that tells the "truth".
